Duke Energy gives $15,600 to Taylor County Alliance – North Florida's Rising StarNorth Florida's Rising Star
Duke Energy made a $15,600 contribution to the Taylor County Alliance(TCA), a nonprofit entity of the Taylor County Development Authority(TCDA), during a joint meeting of the two organizations. The funds are intended to provide support to enable the TCDA to continue its “lead generation initiative” of targeting manufacturing companies to consider locating facilities in Taylor County. The Duke Energy Foundation says its “actively works to strengthen the quality of life for the communities and fund programs that Duke Energy’s philanthropic strategies in the following investment priorities : education, workforce and economic development and community impact. “Presenting the check was Duke’s Senior Manager of Economic Development-Florida Danielle Ruiz. Ruiz has nearly 15 years of professional economic development experience ranging from workforce development to business development with both and private sector employers. She Joined Duke Energy January 2014 focusing on the economic development efforts of the 35-county territory in Florida.
